The Fraser Institute is out with it’s ranking of elementary and secondary schools across Ontario – based on nine academic indicators derived from the results of province-wide tests of reading, writing, and mathematics skills.  School boards traditionally discount the survey … but the report suggests that every school is capable of improvement regardless of the type of school, its location and despite the proportion of students with special needs.
Among the 2348 elementary schools in Ontario Anna McCrea was the best rated school in Sault Ste Marie at #204, St Marys was next at 348, and HM Robbins at 445.
Among the 740 high schools:  Korah ranked 478th and St Marys 559.
