SSMPSSault OPP made an arrest last night after a vehicle was pulled over near the St. Joseph Island turnoff.  A check of the driver resulted in the discovery of a dated outstanding warrant for theft under 5 thousand dollars held by the Sault Police Service.  The warrant is in regards to the theft of a motor vehicle that allegedly occured in September 2012.  The accused — 44 year old Steven Givens of Elliot Lake — is scheduled to appear in court on May 4th.

Police also arrested a Sault Ste. Marie man after responding to a noise complaint on First Avenue.  Officers discovered the accused was wanted on three outstanding warrants.  19 year old Cody Hurdle of Goulais Avenue was arrested and is scheduled to appear in WASH Court today.
