The Canadian Coast Guard Ship Martha L. Black is on its way to the Sault to assist with icebreaking efforts on Lake Superior.    CCGS Martha L. Black, from Quebec City,  is expected to arrive at the Sault Locks tomorrow (WED APRIL 15)  and will head to Lake Superior to join the Canadan Coast Guard icebreakers CCGS Samuel Risley and CCGS Pierre Radisson.
The Canadian and United States Coast Guards are working in concert to escort ships through the heavy ice of Whitefish Bay on southeastern Lake Superior.  The Coast Guards made International headlines last week after successfully creating a track for dozens of vessels.
