FloodingWater levels in the Sault Ste. Marie District are currently below critical thresholds.  But with the snowpack still high, the Ministry of Natural Resources has issued a Flood Outlook for the district at this time.  The MNR warns that the threat of ice jams is high on the Goulais River, with ice flowing and collecting at some spots.  The river is currently showing signs of breaking up with some sections of the river ice free.  During this time, affected residents are asked to stay away from moving rivers and streams and to keep a close eye on rising water levels.  High temperatures in the area are expected to remain seasonal for next week with little precipitation in the forecast.
