If you actually own a piece of luxury clothing that displays the logo prominently, consider wearing it to your next job interview. In a series of three experiments, researchers uncovered that a majority of people view a “displayer of wealth and status” in a positive way. Published in the Journal of Business Research, the report reads, “People wearing luxury brand logos receive preferential treatment over those not wearing luxury brand logos.” Weirdly, the trend was also found to apply to those seeking charitable donations– those wearing luxury labels apparently received larger donations than those not wearing a luxury brand logo.
