Sault OPP received a 9-1-1 call yesterday regarding the theft of an ATV from a residence on Bar River Road East … and they were able to apprehend and charge an Alberta couple on numerous charges … with the man and woman both due in court in the Sault today.

Last evening OPP were called to an accident along Highway 17 North, near Yourchuck Road … where a southbound pickup crossed over the centre line and collided with an oncoming pickup … resulting in a passenger in the northbound vehicle being taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.  Both drivers were charged.   The driver who crossed over the line, 24 year old Michael Cowley of the Sault with careless driving … and 28 year old Dustin Elie of Batchewana First Nation with driving without a licence.
