Police and ultimately the MNR were called to the 700 block of Second Line West yesterday regarding a bear in a tree.  It was eventually tranquillized and relocated.

Last night Police arrested a 47 year old male regarding a domestic dispute at an eastend residence where a male acquaintance of a recently estranged spouse was threatened.

A 31 year old male was arrested Saturday regarding a domestic assault.

Around 2:30 this morning 20 year old Darren Criece of Cathcart Street was charged with the theft of an ebike from a downtown residence.

City police were called regarding an attempted breakin to a home on Blake Street around 7:30 yesterday morning.  The occupant heard a banging noise and looked out a window to see two young males had removed a screen off a window … Seeing they’d been spotted,  the two suspects hopped a fence and fled, one wearing a blue sweat shirt with white writing on it.
There was also a breakin reported on St George’s Avenue East that occurred two weeks ago – where a camera and case, some jewellery and cash were stolen.
