SSMPSCity Police were called to respond to a disturbance at the Sault Area Hospital last night.  According to police, it’s alleged that the accused became upset and confrontational with the nursing staff who were trying to assist him.  The accused then ripped out the IV line from his arm and threw it at one of the nurses.  42 year old Leslie Lampkin of James Street faces a charge of assault with a weapon when he appears in court on July 27th.

Police arrested a man on Friday after an incident where another male was assaulted.  At the time of the assault, the accused was on conditions not to consume alcohol and he was intoxicated.  32 year old Preston McLeod was charged and is scheduled to appear in bail court on Monday.

Police also report an attempted break and enter that occured in the 600 block of Wallace Terrace.
