While MDOT will be pausing construction of state highway projects for the Independecne Day weekend – from 3:00 this afternoon until 6 am Monday, it won’t affect work on culverts along I-75 near Kincheloe that’s forced a detour off the interstate to the Mackinac Trail  between South Gaines Highway and M-28.

Those travelling to the Traverse City area will still experience traffic restrictions – one lane at a time – at M-72 in Acme Township.
