OPP advise that Highway 17 has been closed in both directions between Marathon and Terrace Bay – about 4 hours north of here … due to a serious accident, that occurred after 9:00 this morning.     There is no detour – but an alternate route north of White River to Highway 17 that takes a couple hours.
