LSSUA couple of coach hirings by Lake State this week.  Brittany Williams has been added to the university’s women’s softball coaching staff.  Williams appeared in 241 games for the University of Oklahoma, hitting .318 with 39 home runs and 162 RBIs.  She was a member of the NCAA National Championship team in 2013.  The university also named Bethany Durre as their assistant women’s volleyball coach.  She had worked under head coach Mallory Larranaga as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Alaska.

Meantime, the GLIAC preseason volleyball coaches poll rankings are out — with Lake State slated as the Number 8 team in the North Division.  Ferris State was ranked Number 1 in the division, with Valley State ranked second.
