City Police were called to an accident on Cody Point Road just before noon yesterday – where a young person attempting to move a car from his residence lost control of the vehicle and ran into a garage across the street, causing considerable damage.  The driver needed treatment for minor injuries at the scene.  No charges were laid. Police were called to a westend residence yesterday morning where a woman had been assaulted – leading to multiple charges against a 21 year old male who was under orders to stay away from the home. A 29 year old female was charged with mischief overnight for damaging the home of her ex-spouse on Franklin Street. 20 year old Alex Carter was charged with shoplifting at Cambrian Mall. And a 23 year old male was stopped in a vehicle on Churchill Boulevard – a passenger in the vehicle – and picked up on an outstanding warrant for breach of probation.
