SSMPoliceCity Police made an arrest just after 3:00 p.m. yesterday.  It’s alleged that early yesterday morning around 3:30, the accused became involved in an argument with the victim and took what appeared to be a handgun out of a closet and pointed it at the victim’s head.  Police executed a search warrant at the accused’s residence on Pine Street and located an imitation handgun.  A 30 year old male has been charged with assault with a weapon and pointing a firearm is scheduled to appear in WASH Court today.

Police made another arrest yesterday just after 4:00 p.m.  It’s alleged that the accused attended Canadian Tire and attempted to leave the store without paying for two fishing lures.  It’s also alleged that the accused attended the LCBO on Great Northern Road earlier in the day.  According to police, the accused was on a recognizance with condition not to attend either business.  24 year old Tyler Taylor of Wellington Street East faces charges of theft under 5 thousand dollars, breach of recognizance and breach of probation when he appears in court on November 23rd.
