Sault Ste. Marie ended up being part of a Liberal majority government after Sheehan’s victory. He was asked what the ballot question was to get him elected to Parliament Hill and he mentioned a number of issues in his response…

Sheehan added that this was the case whether he was meeting workers at the steel plant, voters at their door or with customers at the coffee shop. He was one of 184 Liberal candidates elected that will be forming the new federal government after Monday’s vote. Sheehan was asked about being a part of the ‘Red Wave’…

Sheehan credited the hard work of his volunteers during the campaign and in his victory speech promised to rebuild the riding of Sault Ste. Marie to where it deserves.
