CitySSMIn case you weren’t aware, winter parking restrictions in the city are in effect as of tonight.  This means there is no parking of vehicles on city streets during the winter months.  Parking is prohibited on city streets — under a city by-law — between midnight and 6 a-m from November 1st under midnight on April 30th. Even when there is no snow, the by-law remains in effect.  When snow does occur, Sault Police Service officers tag and tow cars to help Public Works crews with any snow removal.  Anyone who disobeys the by-law receives a 15 dollar fine and may have their vehicle towed.  If your vehicle is towed, you are also responsible for the additional cost that comes with the towing and any compound storage fee.
