There are doctors in Sault Ste. Marie that would be willing to consider participating directly in providing doctor-assisted death.  An anonymous survey was carried out at a recent quarterly meeting of physicians and the survey involved about a third of the doctors who practice regularly at the local hospital.  Of those that took part, there was an equal 9% that would be willing to participate and another 9% that wouldn’t.  Hospital Chief of Staff Dr. Heather O’Brien says the number of those willing to participate increased significantly provided there was certainty in terms of legislation, training and guidelines…
