Essar Steel Algoma Proud participant of City's 20 Minute Clean Up

Today, in conjunction with the City of Sault Ste. Marie’s 20 Minute Clean Up event,
Essar Steel Algoma employees kept their time-honoured tradition and ushered in spring
in a decidedly ‘green way’…by holding their very own “Operation Clean Sweep”. The
event included a synchronized housekeeping sweep across the Steelworks in addition to
a clean-up at all four gates, and along our property perimeter.
Essar Steel Algoma is committed to reducing its environmental footprint, in part through
our sound waste management and housekeeping practices. To this end we strive to
provide a clean and professional work environment for our employees and to be a good
corporate neighbour. We commend the City of Sault Ste. Marie on their leadership
through the Earth Day 20 Minute Makeover event and are proud to participate in such
an important health and safety initiative.
