Downtown Parking is Free During the Holiday Period

Sault Ste. Marie, ON – The City of Sault Ste. Marie Parking Division is pleased to provide free parking at all meters including pay and display units, and in the two-hour municipal parking lots in the downtown area effective Monday, December 19, 2016 to Sunday, January 1, 2017.
This holiday exemption does not include parking in: handicap spaces without a permit, no parking areas, fire routes, and private (permit only) lots.
“Vehicle traffic can be busy during the Christmas season; therefore, please drive with care while parking in municipal parking lots or at on-street parking meters,” says Don Scott, Manager of Transit and Parking.
Paid parking resumes Monday, January 2, 2017.
