Just a Slight Change in the Sault's Job Picture

Not much change in the job numbers for Sault Ste. Marie.
Stats Canada reports that the December unemployment rate came in at 7.8%—that’s up slight from the year ago rate of 7%.
The employment rate came in at 49.3% as there were 33-thousand employed equal to the employment level of a year ago.  The participation rate improved slightly reaching 53.5%—-the participation rate combines the number of people employed with those unemployed but actively looking for work.
