Family Day Operations for City Facilities and Services

Sault Ste. Marie, ON – The City of Sault Ste. Marie would like to advise residents of schedule changes for Family Day operations.
The following facilities and services will be closed Monday, February 20:
• Cemetery office
• Children’s Centre – Jessie Irving
• City Landfill and Household Hazardous Waste Depot
• Civic Centre
• Ermatinger•Clergue National Historic Site
• Essar Centre office and box office
• Public Library – Korah branch
• Public Works office. For 24 hour emergency service requests, call 705.759.5201.
• Sault Transit office
• Seniors’ Centres (Drop-In and Steelton)
Refuse & Recycling Collection – No collection February 20. Collection for the balance of the week will be one day late.
The following facilities and services will operate Monday, February 20:
• Essar Centre – Wacky Wings Free Family Day Skate from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• John Rhodes Community Centre Arenas – Open for scheduled events.
• John Rhodes Community Centre Pool – Open 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Lane Swim & 1 to 3 p.m. for Public Swim.
• McMeeken Centre Arena – Open for scheduled events.
• Northern Community Centre – Open 1 to 4 p.m. for Free Family Sports Drop In Day.
• Outdoor Rinks and Art Jennings Oval – Open weather permitting (refer to onsite signage).
• Public Library – Centennial Library is open 12 to 6 p.m.
• Transit Service – Regular hourly service. First bus departs terminal at 6:15 a.m. and last bus departs terminal at 11:15 p.m. Parabus service will run as usual. No Community Bus. For transit info call 705.759.5438.
