Monetary issues appear to be a stumbling point as a union representing around 25 workers at Superior Nissan work towards a first collective agreement in negotiations with the local car dealership.
The International Association of Machinists organized Superior Nissan in July and the members include auto technicians, service writers and parts personnel at Superior Nissan, detailers and installers at Superior Custom Detailing and auto technicians at Superior Used Cars.
The Association says negotiations went well for non-monetary issues but hit a roadblack in January for monetary issues.
The members have provided the union’s negotating committee with a 100% strike mandate and the union indicates they will be in a position to strike on March 20th.
