Leaf and yard waste collection begins today here in the Sault under what is a new schedule with city council deciding at budget time to do away with summer collection.
Collection will continue until the end of June and then resumes October 2nd to November 24th.
There is no collection in July, August and September.
Meantime the Household Hazardous Waste Depot located at the city landfill opened for operation for another year earlier this month.
It will operate through to October 28th each week from Tuesday to Saturday.
