City council will consider whether to hold a byelection or simply appoint someone to replace newly elected MPP Ross Romano and his ward 6 seat on council when it meets tonight.
If council decides to hold a byelection, council must than pass a bylaw—–a bylaw would be presented for consideration at the next council meeting on June 26th.
It would result in a proposed voting day of September 11th.
The cost of a byelection would be around 48-thousand dollars.
