The Goulais River Beach Ridges Conservation Reserve has some new features – specifically, new signage that will advise the public when they are within the boundary of the reserve:

Visitors in and around the Goulais River Beach Ridges Conservation Reserve will notice that new boundary signs have recently been erected. These signs are designed to advise visitors when they are within the boundary of the conservation reserve.
The Goulais River Beach Ridges Conservation Reserve protects provincially significant ancient beach ridges and wetland communities. The site is located approximately 20 km north of Sault Ste. Marie and falls within Fenwick, Aweres, and Pennefather Townships.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) recognizes that, due to its accessibility, the Goulais River Beach Ridges Conservation Reserve is an important and highly used recreational area for the public. The MNRF requests that visitors respect the natural resources within this provincially significant site, and the integrity of the area.
