The United Way Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District focuses on moving individuals from poverty to possibility and Sonny Spina visited KiSS Mornings recently to talk about a brand new United Way fund raiser to help make that happen.  It’s called Pedals for Possibilities and everyone who can ride a bike can get involved.  Here’s some of what Sonny had to say.

Pedals for Possibilities is a two day cycling event taking place on May 16th and 17th. Over the two days, Campaign Chair Spina will bike 283 kilometres through Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma District with a goal of raising $283,000.00!  Sonny has been a supporter of the United Way for over 12 years. As a “boots on the ground” volunteer, he sees firsthand the positive impact the United Way has in our community. As a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, Sonny has dedicated his life to serving the people of Sault Ste. Marie. For the past 15 years, Sonny has proudly worn badge number 283 and continues to work towards improving the quality of life for our residents. Do you have what it takes to join Sonny on this journey? United Way is calling on cyclists of all ages to receive pledges to ride!  Raise a minimum of $200 and ride up to 38 kilometres. To get started, download the pledge form from the website.  If you have any questions about joining, you can contact the United Way anytime.  That’s pedalsforpossibilities.com and you can click the link now and find out how to get involved.
