Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry specialized personnel are on site in two areas of the city were recent bear attacks occurred.
The two incidents involved a mother bear and her cubs with the earlier incident taking place on Old Goulais Bay Road in which a woman suffered puncture wounds to her back and cuts to her head described as non life threatening.
The other occured on Old Garden River Road as a dog allowed a woman to escape the area but the dog sustained life threatening injuries.
Ministry Resource Management Supervisor Bill May based in the Sault says bear techs are on site at both locations and they continue to assess the situation…
