There will be an election for mayor after all in the Sault.
Ted Johnston who ran for the city’s top elected position four years ago is throwing his hat into the ring again.
Johnston placed 3rd in a six way race for mayor in the last election and finished well back of former Mayor Debbie Amaroso and incumbent Christian Provenzano.
As of mid-morning, no candidates have come forward thus far for a council position in ward five.
The deadline to file as a candidate for the municipal election is July 27th.
