The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario Downtown Association is pleased to announce a partnership with the Downtown Development Authority of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. The two organizations have agreed to joint efforts to advertise, in print and online, all activities being led by these two hardworking organizations. This collaboration will highlight similar businesses in the downtown core of the twin cities to help benefit businesses on both sides of the border. Activities and events planned on both sides will be advertised and highlighted on social media to encourage people to take advantage of what is happening in both downtown areas.
“It is so exciting to have the “Twin Saults” working together on this project and we look forward to continuing this collaborative effort on an ongoing basis to make our downtown communities and events even more vibrant and thriving than ever,” stated Josh Ingram of the Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario Downtown Association. Sault Ste. Marie Michigan Downtown Development Authority Director Justin Knepper noted, “Only a few miles separate two historic downtowns that are home to 400 small businesses combined. It is so important for us to work together to create a culture on both sides of the river that believes in supporting our local economies.” Staff persons on both sides of the bridge are looking forward to networking and developing important business connections with this forthcoming partnership.
