This year’s 2020 Emmy Awards is going to look a lot different from previous years for obvious reasons. Jimmy Kimmel will host the virtual ceremony that will air on September 20th, aside from that, not much is known about the show. 

Last year, HBO earned a record 137 Emmy nominations, the most for a single year. This year, Netflix topped that with 160 nominations, with 10 of them in the 11 major categories this year. HBO on the other hand only pulled in 107 nominations, which is only the second time in the last 21 years that HBO wasn’t No. 1 among all networks.
