We are now less than a month away until the big game, and the game’s halftime performer, Rihanna.  Not only did she drop a trailer for her hafltime show, but she also hints at new music.

Throughout the trailer, we hear a collage of media voices say, “It’s been 2,190 days… It’s been over six years since the nine-time Grammy dropped her last album, ‘Anti.’  RihRih where have you been? We have been impatiently waiting …” As the voices mesh into continuous nonsense, the sound stops, the camera cuts to black and Rihanna puts a ‘Shh’ finger to her lips.  As the trailer closes, we can hear a snippet of her song ‘Needed Me’ from the album ‘Anti.’

Does this mean Rihanna is finally dropping new music? Back in November during her Savage x Fenty lingerie show, she was asked about a possible new album and answered by saying, “That’s not true. Super Bowl is one thing. New music is another thing. Do you hear that, fans?  The second that I announced this, I said, ‘Oh, my God, they’re going to think my album is coming. I need to get to work.'”

“Rihanna is a generational talent, a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn.  A person born on the small island of Barbados who became one of the most prominent artists ever. Self-made in business and entertainment,” said Jay-Z, who  signed Rihanna back in 2004 to Def Jam Records.
