Danielle Lawrie is on the 20-woman roster of Canada’s national team, which is working toward a spot at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. The mother of two young daughters says she wants her kids to know they can do anything and has watched other female athletes return to sports. Lawrie was on the national team that took fourth place at the 2008 games in Beijing.

One of those stores in Alaska. And one of the items in the store is a jockstrap worn by Russell Crowe in the 2005 movie “Cinderella Man.” Earlier this year, comedian John Oliver sent the jock and other celebrity memorabilia to the store in Anchorage to help pump up business. The general manager of the store says for now, anyway, the jockstrap is not for sale.
