Supplied by Sault MPP David Orazietti… Expansion of Services and Space Will Enable Body Shop to Meet Needs of Auto Owners

Sault Ste. Marie –  The Ontario government is investing in a long-established Sault Ste. Marie automotive business by providing funding to enable them to update and expand their body shop and repair services and create  jobs, announced David Orazietti, MPP.

“Our government is continuing to invest in Northern Ontario and this business is a great example of how a small business can grow to meet the demands of an evolving market place,” said Orazietti. “This funding will not only enable this business to update their services and expand their operations, it will also create 11 new full-time positions and retain 15 existing staff.”

The $900,000 investment from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) will enable Guy’s B & R CSN Collision Centre (Guy’s Auto Body) to expand their business and modernize equipment and services so that they can repair new models of trucks and automobiles that feature aluminum and composite materials. Established in 1980, Guy’s B & R CSN Collision Centre already provides body repair, frame straightening, detailing touch-ups and windshield replacements.

“We’re proud to be a family-owned, established business that offers a greater diversity in services in order to meet the changing demand in the automobile industry,” said Dennis Iannelli, co-owner, Guy’s B & R CSN Collision Centre. “We thank the government of Ontario for helping us stay current in our business applications.”

Originally founded as Guy’s Auto Body in 1980, the family operated business recently opened at their new facility at 1044 Great Northern Road. Gaetano ‘Guy’ Iannelli’s sons – Robert, Dennis and Nello – now manage the business.

Investing in business expansion and job creation in the North is part of the government’s plan to build Ontario up. The four-part plan includes investing in people’s talents and skills, making the largest investment in public infrastructure in Ontario’s history, creating a dynamic, innovative environment where business thrives, and building a secure retirement savings plan.
