The North Shore Agricultural Fair and Exhibition (Laird Fair) will be held this Friday through Sunday.  The event originally goes back to the 1800s and has been running annually since the 1970s.  Amanda Holmberg and Christine Irvine O’Hara dropped by KiSS 100.5 Mornings to talk about what’s happening this weekend and about how much work goes into planning the event.

The fairgrounds are located four miles east of Echo Bay on Lake George Road in Laird Township, 20 km east of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.  Activities and exhibits include live music and dancing all weekend including evening events for adults, tractor pulls, horse events, heavy/light horse pulling competitions, livestock and poultry, antique and new farm machinery displays, exhibitors, children’s events/rides, and demonstrations among other exciting events.
