It’s election day today.
Voters will go to the polls as of 10 this morning and they will remain open until 8 this evening as they will elect a mayor and council along with school trustees.
Electors should keep in mind that you will need to present a piece of identification in order to receive a ballot at the polls.
The identification will need to show your name and address—photo identification is not required and your voter notification card cannot be used as the identification.

To assist Sault voters, the City is offering free transit to and from your voting location by presenting your voter notification card.

Voting was up slightly for the three advance votes here in the Sault and voter turnout for the municipal election 4-years ago was less than 43%.
