Supplied by Sault College… (Sault Ste. Marie, ON September 29, 2015) Sault College is pleased to host the Ontario College Information Program Wednesday, September 30 at 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Health and Wellness Centre.  This annual event is part of a provincial wide college tour program in which several Ontario colleges staff display and provide information about their schools.  The College and its recruiters will also be showcasing its many programs to give local students an idea of what is available right here.

“As the number one College in Ontario, we want students and their families to get a glimpse of our incredible facilities, have some fun and leave the event with great information,” says Shelby McClelland, Provincial Student Recruiter at Sault College.

Admission to the event is free and it is open to everyone.  Representatives from Algonquin, Cambrian, Canadore, Centennial, Conestoga, Confederation, Fanshawe, George Brown, Georgian, Northern and St. Clair College have confirmed their attendance. “Parents are encouraged to also attend the event to meet representatives face to face,” adds McClelland.

The deadline to apply for equal consideration into any Ontario college program for the 2016-2017 school year is February 1st.  Students start applying to ontariocolleges.ca by mid-October. The Sault College student recruitment team also participates in the College Information Program by travelling across the province attending similar information sessions for potential students.

In addition, Student Recruiters will be available to answer questions regarding a variety of programs beginning this January, 2016 including: Adventure Recreation and Parks Technician, Business, Fish and Wildlife Conservation Technician, Forest Conservation Technician, General Arts and Science – One Year, Mechanical Engineering Technician, Natural Environment Technology – Conservation and Management, Personal Support Worker, Police Foundations, Pre-Health, Protection Security and Investigation and Public Relations and Event Management, along with the study and ski pass with Sault College and Searchmont.
