The TVO documentary featuring Gary and Joanie McGuffin along with art historian Micheal Burtch locating and documenting the landscapes famously painted by the Group of Seven will be shown at the Vancouver International Film Festival today and tomorrow.  As Gary explains, the film captures the euphoria of finding these places and how they inspired the artiists 100-years ago.  It’s a project the three have been involved with since 2008.  Painted Land: In Search of the Group of Seven is also being featured on Friday and Saturday nights during the Algoma Fall Festival.  You can tour the visual art exhibit which highlights the stunning cinematograpy from the documentary at 6 and the film will be shown at 8 each night in the Machine Shop at Mill Square.
