If your boss catches you posting to Instagram, or looking at Facebook, you can let them know your short break is making you more productive. Baylor University researchers looked into the break habits of 95 workers to identify the best way to take a break. They discovered that mid-morning–not mid-afternoon– breaks were best. Researcher Emily Hunter writes in a press release, “You should pace yourself, similar to how plants should be watered early in the day before getting distressed from a long day in the sun.” Also, a good break should not include running errands. Breaks should include an activity you enjoy, even if it’s work related. Finally, frequent, smaller breaks are ideal over a singular longer break. (Newser)(Image: mynameisgigi.com)
