SAULT STE. MARIE (Thursday, September 26, 2019) – It’s that time of the year! Tag Days! You will see the army cadets from the 2310 corps around town at local businesses on Friday the 27th and Saturday the 28th. These dedicated cadets will be spreading awareness of the program with the hope the public will show their support by making a donation in exchange for a tag.
The program prides itself on being inclusive to all with no financial requirements. It is free for all cadet participants. This fundraiser assists in extra costs to ensure our cadets can enjoy every aspect of the program.
We invite the community to take this opportunity to speak with our Cadets and learn about this exciting youth program.
The Army Cadet Program teaches young people the value of citizenship, leadership, service to the community, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment while promoting self-esteem, teamwork and self-discipline. Cadets get the opportunity to participate in sports and fitness, pipe and drum band, Highland Dance, orienteering, biathlon, expeditions and more.
It is a no cost program open to boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 18. The 2310 Army Cadet Corps meets Monday nights at 6:00 p.m. at the Sault Armoury (375 Pine Street). New recruits are welcome to attend any Monday night.
