When the Sault Area Hospital put out the call to the community for home made medical masks with the goal of acquiring a thousand per week, hundreds in the community have come forward.
A large number of those volunteers are being led by Gabi Doleski who is a full time professor at Sault College and who has the resources and skills acquired through her work as co-leader of Zonta’s Days for Girls organization.
Doleski says they have been producing both masks and caps for the last two weeks…

Her leadership team includes Holly Wickett who spends four to five hours a day driving needed supplies to the army of volunteers across the city everyday.
Doleski talks about the army of volunteers supporting the effort…

Doleski says they have also supplied masks to ARCH, the F. J. Davey Home, the Group Health Centre, Pathways, Finnish Rest Home, Shoppers Drug Mart and Batchewana Health Centre.
