Those travelling from the Sault to Thunder Bay may want to re-think their route as a serious accident has closed the Trans Canada  near Marathon about 4 1/2 hours north of here.  OPP say the two vehicle crash has claimed two lives and the highway is expected to be closed for several hours.  At White River you can decide on whether to continue on towards Marathon and risk hitting a road block or detouring via Highway 631 to Highway 11 – the northern route – that’ll take you onto Nipigon and Thunder Bay – a close to 200 km detour.
