Friday night Batchewana First Nation Police conducted a traffic stop on Mission Road in Goulais and charged 40 year old Colin Harris of White Rock, B-C with impaired driving.

Yesterday afternoon Sault OPP received a 9-1-1 call regarding a break-in to a camping trailer just north of town on Highway 17 … where an unknown suspect fled with some property belonging to the owner.  A short time later 49 year old Robert Daynard of the Sault was arrested and charged with theft.

OPP received reports of six break and enters to out-buildings on seasonal properties on Haviland Shores Drive – and in one case a breakin to a seasonal residence that occurred in the past week, with numerous items stolen – including a Stihl cordless chainsaw, a Stihl weedwacker, a water filtration system, fishing gear, assorted tools and gas cans.
