If you quit Facebook, you’ll feel more social. People who took a Facebook break ended up feeling better than those who did not, a Danish study found. They also had more focus and were more satisfied socially in real life. Facebook feeds may cause envy and have become an unrealistically positive highlight reel of users’ lives. Here is how many people in each group said they were:

• Happy: No Facebook reported they were 88 percent happy. Facebook users report 81 percent happy.
• Worried: No Facebook reported 41 percent worried. Facebook users 54 percent worried.
• Sad: No Facebook reported 22 percent sad. Facebook users 34 percent sad.
• Angry: No Facebook reported 12 percent angry. Facebook users 20 percent angry.
• Enjoying life: No Facebook 84 percent enjoying life. Facebook users 75 percent enjoying life.
• Enthusiastic: No Facebook 61 percent enthusiastic. Facebook users 49 percent enthusiastic.
• Depressed: No Facebook 22 percent depressed. Facebook users 33 percent depressed.
• Decisive: No Facebook 64 percent decisive. Facebook users 56 percent decisive.
• Lonely: No Facebook 16 percent lonely. Facebook users reported 25 percent lonely.
