Concerned citizen Mark Brown has taken up another local cause … the untendered awarding of the latest expansion of the Mausoleum to EPOH.   After being denied an opportunity to address his concerns before City Council – since the matter had already been approved … Brown is asking that the matter be revisited at a future meeting … feeling the way the resolution was passed last month leaves it up to EPOH  the right and responsibility to Tender the project, pick the successful bidder, and pass along the cost quoted in the Resolution for construction to the City, namely $834,000, even if the Tender comes in at an amount which is far less than the price for construction quoted in Resolution 6-15.
He would like to impress on City Council the possibility of saving money by having the city tender the contract – not leave it up to EPOH.
