Sault Employment Report

The number of people employed in Sault Ste. Marie came in last month just over 33-thousand——not much change from a year ago.
There are still more people not working in the Sault then working as the employment rate came in at 49.5%.
The Sault’s pariticipation rate which measures both the number of those employed combined with those unemployed but actively looking for work was 53.4%—a slight improvement over a year ago.
The unemployment rate came in at 7.3%.
