City police news release…
(SAULT STE. MARIE, ON) – Monday February 27, 2017, will mark six years since the body of 48-year old Todd Petrie was discovered in his Albert Street East apartment in city of Sault Ste. Marie.
“The investigation into the murder of Mr. Petrie remains active and ongoing and detectives from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service (SSMPS) and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are continuing to follow up on any and all information that comes forward. Any member of the public who may have information about this crime is encouraged to contact the police and share that information” states Detective Inspector Shawn Glassford of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) who is the Major Case Manager assigned to this investigation.
In November 2012, the Government of the Province of Ontario authorized a $50 000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the murder Mr. Petrie. This reward remains in place and available.
