Supplied by Algoma District School Board… Algoma District School Board advises the parents and community members of Superior Heights Collegiate & Vocational School that the school is closed to all staff and students for the remainder of the day (Wednesday March 23rd).

The 7-12 Superior Heights students who were relocated to Alexander Henry High School have been bussed home and/or picked up at Alexander Henry.  A plan for staff is in place with them reporting to alternate work sites for the remainder of the day.

All Community Education students who had been relocated to Kiwedin Public School this morning have been bussed home or picked up and staff are remaining at the alternate site.

Director of Education, Lucia Reece, reminds parents that students’ safety is always our first priority.  We will continue to work closely with City police and we will provide an update on the situation and the plan for Thursday after we have met with Police.  This information will be relayed to parents and the community later today.

We thank parents and the community of Superior Heights for your patience, understanding and cooperation.  Further updates and information will be shared through the local media.
