The first step in enjoying ROTARYFEST, The Sault’s Summer Festival is getting there! The festival expects an influx of people this year who will be coming to see the Ontario 150 Tour presented by Redpath Sugar, and as always parking will be extremely limited in the area surrounding Clergue Park. Here are some ways to get to ROTARYFEST this weekend:
Option 1: Bike
The Hub Trail runs right through the festival and is a fantastic way to enjoy the summer weather. There are bike racks located near the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library, the Art Gallery of Algoma, the Civic Centre, the Roberta Bondar Pavilion, and near the Clergue Park fitness equipment.
Option 2: Transit
Two bus routes take passengers by ROTARYFEST – McNabb and Riverside. Fare is $2.75 and children under 12 ride free when accompanied by a responsible adult. Route maps and schedules can be found here. Please keep in mind that transit may be affected by the festival, the Rotary Community Day Parade presented by Brookfield (Saturday), and the Downtown Street Party (Thursday).
Option 3: Drop off
If you are attending the festival with young children or seniors, you may want to arrange for someone to drop you off at the festival, park, and walk down to meet the group on the grounds.
Option 4: Carpool
Drive with your friends and family to the festival, find your parking spot, and walk together. Please take into consideration that your parking spot may be blocks away from the festival. You may want to bring strollers or wagons for small children.
Option 5: Park at a friend’s
If you have a friend or family member living downtown, why not meet them at their house, park, and walk down to the festival together.
ROTARYFEST, The Sault’s Summer Festival will be taking place in Clergue Park July 13 to 15. Savour the lip-smackin’ BBQ at Ribfest, boogie to continuous free entertainment on our two music stages, be Canada-proud at the Ontario 150 Tour events, get hands-on and creative in the Tenaris PlayZone, fly through the air on the carnival rides, delight in the family memories being created and so much more at ROTARYFEST!
