(Ottawa, ON) Tuesday, June 7, 2016 – Today, Member of Parliament, Terry Sheehan, spoke in the House of Commons to welcome members of the Canadian Steel Producers Association (CSPA) to Parliament Hill and to talk about the importance of steel in Canada.

“I’m honoured to extend a warm welcome to members of the Canadian Steel Producers Association as they partake in day two of the Steel Days lobby on Parliament Hill. Members of the CSPA, including Essar Steel Algoma and Tenaris Algoma Tubes, are here to elevate the conversation and importance of steel in Canada. They’re meeting with Members of Parliament and a number of Ministries over a few days. I’m also hosting a meet-and-greet luncheon for MPs and participants,” stated Sheehan.

“As the Co-chair of the All-party Steel Caucus, I think it’s great to have these opportunities for dialogue. Members of Parliament need to understand what is going on in the industry and I’m happy to do what I can to facilitate that,” concluded Sheehan.
