McMeeken Arena Finally Reopens after Mould Remediation Work

City council gave the go ahead at last night’s meeting to dip into a reserve fund to cover the cost of carrying out remediation work needed to remove mould from the McMeeken Centre dressing rooms.
The arena opened yesterday and the cost for carrying out the work came in at 72-thousand dollars.
Exceptionally warm weather in the late summer and early fall contributed to a significant amount of mould being formed in a short time in the dressing room areas.
