On the eve of the official start to the election campaign, the Liberals very quietly have in place a candiate for Sault Ste. Marie.
Jaclynne Hamel was raised in Sault Ste. Marie and attended both Algoma University where she obtained her degree in Political Science and Sault College where she studied public relations.
The former Saultite has worked with the Ontario Liberal Party and is listed as a senior strategic advisor with the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines.
She will be up against incumbent Progressive Conservative MPP Ross Romano, NDP candidate Michele McCleave-Kennedy and Green Party candidate Kara Flannigan.
